DESIGN

 

For those of you who will be crafting your own artwork design and layout or engaging the skills of a third party, we offer the following guidelines.

 

LASER PRINTED INSERTS

 

All inserts and labels will be printed using our high resolution color laser printer.  We ask that you adhere to the following guidelines for graphic submissions.

 

Please submit JPEG or PNG files at a minimum of 300 DPI. (Dots/Pixels Per Inch)  

Before you start your design please make sure your software is capable of exporting the final image to JPEG or PNG.  Files that can only be read by your design software will not be accepted.

 

All images should be scanned or created at not less than 300 DPI.   Please note that up sampling your design project to 300 DPI when creating the final JPEG is not the same as having all the images in your design project at 300 DPI when you start.

 

If your software has the option to convert to curves you should convert all text to curves before exporting to the final image.  Converting text to curves makes for more defined text on the final print.

 

You should also create a PDF (Adobe Acrobat) document that contains all parts of your design project.  You can download a free PDF export tool HERE.

 

The final image should be in RGB format for faithful color reproduction.  Please do not use text point sizes smaller than 5 or 7 for reverse (white on black).
